What the diference between nintendo 3ds and ds/dsi?

can anyone tell me what their diference are meaning their specifications and all that..i'm quite new to nintendo i used to play psp..but i ,ove pokemon so i'm trying to buy a nintendo..can anyone suggest me which is better and what i should buy....can anyone tell me how much do each of them cost...thanks
